Izzie Toman Scholarship

The Izzie Toman Solo Seal Scholarship

The Izzie Toman Solo Seal Scholarship is awarded to the candidate/s selected by a panel of senior examiners as the most deserving advanced all-round dancer/performer/choreographer (across all genres).

This award carries a NZ$1,000 prize to be used toward further dance training.

If more than one candidate receives the same highest mark, the award is shared between the candidates.  A maximum of two candidates can receive this award (ie. NZ$500 each).

To enter for the Izzie Toman Solo  Seal Scholarship, the candidate must have their Solo Seal examination filmed and uploaded to the APDA website (via the teacher dashboard).  All entries must be submitted before the 1st October in the year of examination.

The videos of the Solo Seal candidates are viewed by a panel of senior examiners including the APDA Director for adjudication.

The recipient/s of the Izzie Toman Solo Seal Scholarship is announced by the 1st February of the following year.

This scholarship is in memory of Izzie Toman, a Solo Seal top mark recipient who trained in the APDA syllabi from a young age.

Izzie was an aspiring, talented young dancer and it is fitting that a scholarship in her name will help others pursue full-time training and development.
